SMS credit units are required for sending bulk SMSes. The amount of units you need to purchase depends on the numbers of people you want to send Bulk SMS to. It also depend on the destination country.
1 SMS= 1 Unit
One SMS credit unit is required to send a 1 paged message to 1 Nigerian mobile number (160 alphanumeric or special case letters make up a standard 1 page of SMS. Multiple pages needs multiple units). For example, it means that 1000 SMS credit unit will be needed to send 1 paged message to 1000 Nigerian mobile numbers.
Apart from Nigerian destination, other supported country requires more than 1 sms credit unit to deliver. (See supported countries and the corresponding SMS credits units required.)
Units are purchased before hand, and are consumed as one sends Bulk SMS. Once SMS credit units are exhausted, sending of Bulk SMS cannot continue.

Each SMS credit unit cost N 2.5 naira or 0.0083 USD
(Cost for units higher than 10,000 units is negotiable).
